“Children are the key to Paradise.” This is Sandy’s favorite byword. Speaking of children he recounts his most unforgettable experience is when he joined a Christmas caroling activity that involved street children wherein the money they raised was used to buy food for everyone and they all ate together. Having been able to sing and interact with them was an uplifting experience for this kind-hearted guy.
Fair-skinned Sandy Asmolo Globa is one of the Ginoong Turismo Filipinas 2015 candidates. Physically striking at 5 ft 8 in tall he was previously crowned Mr Danube 2013. Mr. Danube is an in-house personality competition among staff members in Danube, a leading supermarket chain where he currently works in the Electronics Sales department.
Aside from playing his favorite sports, basketball and volleyball amongst others, Sandy’s heart is also into cooking and is a very good cook. His specialty – beef with broccoli in oyster sauce. Though he can just as easily concoct any dish from native Filipino favorites to intercontinental flavors.
Our Ginoo here believes that being the Ginoong Turismo Filipinas winner is to be a role model for the Filipinos not only in the Philippines but also as a Filipino who is based abroad and to be able to help his fellow Filipinos in every way possible.
“My hometown – the province of Leyte – is where you can find the famous San Juanico Bridge, the longest bridge in the Philippines and at one time was the longest in Southeast Asia.”
