‘Modeling is such a big world, a world everyone at some point have dreamed to be a part of or even dominate. At first it seemed to be the next thing to impossible but because of courage and determination I strove hard and finally got what I wanted.’ These are the thoughts of Ginoong Turismo Filipinas 2015 contestant Neil Canare Bautista during his earlier days in the modeling world up until he rightfully bagged the title of Male Grand Winner in Cirque De Couture Manila – The Circus of Fashion 2013, what was then one of the biggest in modeling search in the Metro. That was his epic win – one he considers his most unforgettable moment. His modeling stint also included winning 2nd Place in Promodel Manila and being a part of MTP Models Manila.
For Neil the line ‘Fashion is my passion’ aptly applies to himself as being a model he has learned to embrace and love that thing that he loves doing – modeling. That passion and hard work and his ‘signature ramp modeling’ style walk are what he has prepared himself with as he ventures into another level – to strive to achieve to be the next Ginoong Turismo Filipinas. On being the winner he believes the position entails one to be a good role model in promoting goodwill. He should be a responsible citizen in uplifting culture and tourism starting with his own hometown.
Adorable and with striking appeal, this twenty-seven year old model is currently a Store Administrator for steakhouse chain Texas Roadhouse. Neil loves the internet so much he spends almost all of his spare time on his smartphone. He also loves watching a lot of movies and he dreams of visiting the city that never sleeps, NYC, one day.
“Bataan is considered as one of the seats of history in the Philippines. It is where you will find the 300 plus-foot high Mt. Samat Shrine (Shrine of Valor) in Pilar, built to honor and remember the gallantry of Filipino and American soldiers who fought during World War II. Aside from history Bataan also has a lot to offer in respect of food and drink of the local cuisine – one of the pleasures of travel.”
