Love Valley

Situated within the UNESCO World Heritage listed Goreme National Park in Cappadocia, Turkey is this expansive valley – just one of many fascinating valleys around the national park – where one can find rock formations weirdly, yet interestingly, shaped like a phallus – thus the euphemistic name for the place.

No they are not man-made. These rock structures were actually formed by volcanic eruptions dating as far back as some 9 million years. About which travelers (credited to no one in particular) have wittily coined a pun for such phenomenon – they call it ‘erotic erosion’.
