Jhonette Baptista, “The Dainty Binibini”

HER MOST PROMINENT FEATURES ARE HER DOE EYES that are of a warm, deep tone of brown that appears black on first glance. Those big brown innocent eyes do not easily betray the kind of personality this young lady embodies – which is a smart and creative person – but they do give her a dreamy, soulful look that makes for an attractive face.

Maria Jhonette Nucum Baptista is a Marketing Specialist for a construction consultancy firm. She loves adventures – would say yes to a bungee jump challenge and she wants to travel the world someday.

Jhonette, as friends call her, loves to eat – she eats and appreciates almost all kinds of food but her favorite is ‘Beef Kare-Kare‘. This dainty Binibini fancies watching movies, and creating graphic and layout designs.

The 20-year old Pampanga beauty cherishes one of Audrey Hepburn’s famous lines –  “The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode, but the true beauty is reflected in her soul.”

If given the chance to change her name she would gladly swap it for the name ‘Miriam Defensor Santiago’, the namesake of a strong, independent and exceptionally smart Filipina woman leader she admired.  But she is certain there isn’t a thing she will change about herself as she is happy with the way God created her – as her with all of her imperfections.
