GINOONG TURISMO FILIPINAS 2016 CANDIDATE – MARK JAYSON RAMOS
Height: 5 ft 6 in | Weight: 70 kgs
Occupation: Visual Merchandiser | Hometown: Alaminos, Pangasinan
IF THERE IS ONE WHO HAS SHOWN THE MOST EXCEPTIONAL DETERMINATION in this pageant it is this Ginoong Turismo finalist. Mark Jayson Serenio Ramos hails from the northern part of the Philippines in the beautiful province of Pangasinan.
Marco, as friends nicknamed him, says that he has a strongly bonded family for whom he feels truly thankful and blessed. He also shares that he sees himself as a jolly person. Rightfully so as he goes around wearing that bright, bedimpled, and infectious smile most of the time. Besides spending time on the internet Marco’s favorite hobbies include singing, cooking his specialty dishes – spaghetti with meatballs and ‘pancit palabok’ (a Filipino style noodle dish), and taking care of his pet – a Siamese fighting fish. Marco currently works as a Visual Merchandiser for the retail brand Mango based in Jeddah. According to this 24-year old Ginoo his job in the fashion retail business here abroad gives him an opportunity to experience working in a multi-national at the same time multi-cultural environment. Having such an experience has equipped him with the necessary skills to help promote Philippine tourism through raising awareness of the ideals and values on which the Ginoo at Binibining Turismo competition stands. He also says he is confident of what has been naturally given to him and he can proudly say there is a lot that he can do for the cause of tourism.
