I WILL BE A ROLE MODEL AND AN IDEAL AMBASSADOR OF GOODWILL.  Ginoong Turismo Filipinas 2016 candidate Viel Christopher Amodia Oniel promises should he be the fortunate one to bag the title of the grand winner.  He is confident about his looks and personality and that he will use his voice to promote Philippine tourism. Twenty seven year old Viel was born and raised in the southern province of Negros Oriental.  Qualifying to GBB Turismo Filipinas is just one in a series of outstanding accomplishments.

This 5 ft 10 inch tall mestizo has joined male pageants in the past.  He started out in Bayawan Tourism in 2006 in his hometown of Bayawan City during the city’s celebration of ‘Tawo-Tawo’ Festival  (Scarecrow Festival) where he ended as the grand winner with the title of Bayawan Tourism King 2006.  After which he joined Mr. Bayawan 2008 and clinched the 2nd Runner-Up title.  And lastly he was part of the highly prestigious “Hari ng Negros’ (King of Negros) as one of the finalists.  This competition is annually held in his home province Negros Oriental in the southern part of the country.  With his previous achievements and venture into the promulgation of tourism,  Viel is not one to let anything stop him from doing what he is passionate about, thus, he is at present a part of Ginoong Turismo Filipinas here in Jeddah and once again prove his worth as a tourism advocate.  He is also passionate about other things, this includes playing volleyball.  He actually plays this sport professionally and is at the top of his game. On a personal note Viel shares – his favorite quote is – ‘Nagmahal, Nasaktan, Nagmahal Muli,’ which loosely translates into ‘Loved, Hurt, and Loved Again.’
